Bumps in the Road!

Why couldn't I be a seven year old about now? I would have this computer thing all figured out, wouldn't I?! I am trying to move some of my photos of my art and also of my wreaths from Windows, where I have them so very neatly stored in folders (couldn't have done this without my beautiful neice's help!), to my new blog here in Google. But can I figure this out? NOOooooOOOOH!! Pooh! I will keep trying because I do not give up easily! Stay tuned!

What will I paint?

About my business INTERPRETATIONS!! Just to let you know, my favorite piece of artwork to create is a pencil drawing. Of people. I do these from close-up unprofessional photographs. I find I can get a "spot on" likeness, and I love the simplicity of being able to capture an image by just using graphite.

An equal passion is acrylic paintings of animals! I recently finished a painting of a Chocolate Lab puppy and was so delighted with the surprised recipient's reaction. The eyes are always the best part for me in any animal painting or drawing, and I love to capture the expressions of the cats and dogs I paint. Horses are my great love, so I hope to be doing some paintings of them as well!

As a sideline of my art business, I also create silk arrangements, centerpieces, wall hangings, custom seasonal wreaths, and also anything related to Christmas decorating! Garlands, centerpieces, table pieces, wall wreaths, door wreaths, and the choosing of materials for and the decorating of Christmas trees, by appointment. (I am certain I can get my client/friend JM to give anyone a reference regarding her Christmas decorations for 2008---especially "The Anaconda"--a 16 foot garland that took on a personality of it's own before all was said and done!!

I also love to paint on furniture and on some fabrics. I have also done wall paintings, though I think I will forego any super tall ladders in the future!!

Oh my gosh, I am doing this!

Hello everyone,

Because I have never done anything like this before, I find I like the challenge of it. Being computer savvy is not my forte, but I am less afraid of them all the time. So why not?
I wanted a place where friends, family, and potential clients could go to and see what I have been doing regarding my passion-----ART.
When I can get this blog thing all figured out, there will be photos of my work and explanations of what my business is all about and what my great loves are regarding my artwork.
I am inspired, so I hope you all will be as well.
